Raku Heart Rattle with Dragonfly
Raku heart rattle handcrafted by Texas artist John Davis, from local clay.
Measures approximately 3" by 3" by 2".
Native Americans used rattles during ceremonies to ensure blessings upon their crops, and dragonflies were a recurring symbol in many Native American tribes. For the Navajo, they represented pure water, which endures no matter how often it changes form. The dragonfly has endured through the ages, and is a symbol of resilience and endurance.
