This sterling silver locket features a hand-carved and inked ancient mammoth ivory polar bear face surrounded by an intricate border of Native Alaskan bear symbols. The locket is hinged on the left side and can hold a photo or other keepsake.

Note: Zealandia jewelry is made from ancient fossilized walrus and mammoth ivory, from animals that died between 500 and 15,000 years ago. Their ivory was buried in the earth or in permafrost for centuries, during which time it acquired its unique coloring.
